Log into MySJSU starting the first day of instruction to the last day to add (2/20), and choose Spring 2023 to activate the term. Follow the instructions in our video tutorial.

If you have issues accessing your student account, you can reset your password or contact IT Help Desk at ithelpdesk@sjsu.edu. See additional resource section for more.

A recent disqualified SJSU undergraduate student from Fall 2022

Undergraduate students who have recently been disqualified from SJSU in Fall 2022 should complete this form no later than January 31, 2023. (Note: Do not complete this form if you were DQ'd prior to Fall 2022). Doing this will allow the Registrar Office to activate you so you may self-enroll in Open University classes through MySJSU starting on Wednesday, January 25. Complete this form as soon as possible. You will receive an email once you have been activated and can begin enrolling in classes after.

If you miss your chance to complete the form, as your first Open University semester, you must submit a DocuSign Open University registration form. Your account and registration will be completed by the Registrar’s Office.

In the next semester when you enroll (i.e. Fall 2023), you can follow registration instructions for returning OU students.

A post-baccalaureate/graduate student

Students must submit a DocuSign Open University registration form, available starting the first day of instruction. Your account and registration will be set up by the Registrar’s Office.

Step 3: Registration instructions

SJSU recommends masks for all face to face meetings. All students enrolled in an in-person or hybrid class must submit their vaccination status using the COVID-19 Vaccine Self-Certification form. For more information, check our FAQs.

Class instruction and registration begins on Wednesday, January 25. Attend classes online or in-person starting January 25. Classes are listed as either a waitlist class or an instructor consent class. See our FAQ in more detail.

  1. Starting Wednesday, January 25, enroll in your class(es) via:
  • MySJSU. Add yourself to the class if you meet the pre-reqs and there is no waitlist. Add yourself to the waitlist if the class is full. If instructor consent is required, email the faculty for a permission number.
  • Open U registration form. Have your instructor add you to the waitlist if the class is full. Permission numbers are not neccesary for form submissions.

2. Must have GAPE office approval for 200-level classes. See our graduate student webpage for more information.

Starting Friday, February 3, permission numbers will be required to enroll in all classes.

Step 4: Calendar and payment deadlines

Secure your spot in class. Submit payment for fees by the posted deadline. For other important registration and payment deadlines, visit our calendar webpage.
